Who we are

Forage Academy is a program of Forage Healing Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. These terms are an agreement between you, the parent or guardian who owns a family account, and the Foundation. Questions go to hello@foragehealing.org. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and is part of these terms.

Accounts

• A parent or guardian creates and owns the family account and adds each child. Children do not create accounts and use Forage Academy under a parent's direction.
• You are responsible for the devices and passkeys that can sign in to your account, and for the children you add to it.
• One family account per family. Co-parents can be added to the same family.

What is free

The Forage Academy app is free for every family: every subject, every child, the learning guide, voice, artwork, transcripts, the email digest and the safety alerts. The free tier includes one guided conversation per subject, per child, per day. Drills, games, review and activities are not capped.

Forage+

• What it is. A subscription for the parent portal's premium tools (the compliance and portfolio record, custom alert rules, weekly insights, the dashboard assistant, Forage Connect API keys), Forage Nourish for the adults in the family, and higher daily conversation caps in the app.
• Price. $14.99 per month or $149 per year, including two children. Each additional child is $3.99 per month or $39 per year, added as a seat on the same subscription. Prices are in US dollars; applicable tax is shown at checkout.
• Trial. Your first subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. You can cancel during the trial and nothing is charged.
• Renewal. After the trial, the subscription renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. You will be charged at the start of each period with the payment method on file.
• Cancelling. Cancel any time from the Forage+ page in the parent dashboard (Manage in the Stripe portal). Your access continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and the kids app stays free either way.
• Changing plans. Switching between monthly and annual, or changing seats, is prorated by Stripe.
• Refunds. If you are unhappy with a charge, email us within 14 days of that charge and we will refund it in full. Refunds go back to the original payment method.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails, Stripe retries and emails you. Your Forage+ access continues during a short grace period; if the payment cannot be completed, the subscription ends and your family returns to the free tier. Nothing is deleted.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Giving

Gifts to Forage Healing Foundation, one-time or monthly, are donations, not subscriptions, and are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. A gift does not include Forage+ or any other access; it supports the foundation's work as a whole. A gift and a subscription are kept entirely separate: cancelling one never affects the other.

Your content and your family's data

• Transcripts, activities and creations belong to your family. We use them to run the service for you and never to train or fine-tune any model.
• What you contribute to the Academy DB (documents, sources, comments) is reviewed before it reaches any child and is credited to your family; by submitting, you allow it to be used in the Academy's library.

Deleting your account

You can delete your family account from Settings in the parent dashboard at any time. Sign-in stops immediately and every child profile is hidden. Nothing is erased for 30 days, and the email we send has a link that restores everything. After 30 days the account, every child profile, every conversation and every saved creation are permanently removed. Any active Forage+ subscription ends with the deletion; giving records stay with the Foundation.

Acceptable use

• Use Forage Academy for your own family's learning. Do not share accounts, resell access, or use the service to build a competing product.
• Do not attempt to bypass the safety boundaries in the guide or the parent controls.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or that we believe puts a child at risk, and we will tell you why.

Changes and availability

We improve Forage Academy continually and may add, change or retire features. If we change what Forage+ includes or costs, we will tell you by email before it applies to a renewal, and you can cancel before then. We aim for the service to be available at all times but do not guarantee it; when something is down, the kids' progress and your records are kept safe.

The legal part

Forage Academy is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, the Foundation's liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid for Forage+ in the twelve months before the claim. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.

Changes to these terms

We will post any change here with a new effective date and email account owners about changes that matter. Continuing to use Forage Academy after that date means you accept the updated terms.
